MAPC supports U.S. Congress resolution opposing annexation of the Israeli-occupied West Bank

This coming week, a vital House resolution drawing a red line against West Bank annexation is expected to reach 118 co-sponsors, crossing the threshold of majority support within the Democratic caucus. That is a significant milestone for the first House resolution ever to expressly oppose annexation and to clearly condemn settlement expansion and occupation.

House Resolution 326, introduced last month by Reps. Alan Lowenthal, Karen Bass and Gerry Connolly, reaffirms support for the two-state solution, insists that the two-state formula must form the core of any US peace plan and warns against any American actions which tacitly support or enable unilateral annexations in the West Bank. It sends a powerful message to the White House, Jared Kushner and the Israeli right.
